Adventures in Low-Down Low-Fi
Just Dropped In
(To See What Condition My Condition Was In)
Simple Pleasures, September 21 2012

A Mickey Newbury song, most famously covered by First Edition when Kenny Rogers was their lead singer, before he went on to solo fame, fortune, and grotesque plastic surgery. Apparently the song was intended as a warning against the perils of LSD. To the Beardo Brothers, LSD stands for "Lager, Stout, Dos Equis"—all dangerous in their own way. (If you were going to point out that "Dos Equis" would really be "DE," not "D," then you're tripping, man.)
